When travelling to South Africa as a citizen of Zimbabwe, you must meet the following terms and requirements concerning visa, immigration procedures or maximum duration of stay.

Passport required

Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 30 days beyond the period of intended stay.

Admission and Transit Restrictions

Passengers with a non-machine readable passport are not allowed to enter or transit.

Visa required

except for Nationals of Zimbabwe for a maximum stay of 90 days.

Note

Commercial heavy-duty vehicle drivers are exempt for a maximum stay of 30 days and must have a confirmation of employment with a foreign company.

Minors

Extended machine readable passports are not accepted.
The official three letter country code in passports issued by Zimbabwe is ZWE. However, for a limited period, passports were issued with the three letter code of ZIM. These passports are still in circulation and will remain valid until their expiry date.
